Different applications make it necessary to subject batteries to a charge/discharge cycle. With the new Type LES two-way converter this is possible up to a power of 1.2 MW. The LES works as a charging rectifier during charging and as a line-commutated converter when the batteries are discharged. By using the LES two-way converter you can save on energy costs, as the energy is not simply burned up through load resistors as your battery is discharged, but is fed back into the network in an environmentally compatible manner. You will soon discover how quickly the money for our two-way converter is amortised. For testing generators we supply this device with an additional DC bridge. The two-way converter can then be used as a steplessly adjustable load bank.
