Batteries in AGM technology
JOVYATLAS batteries in the “J” and “JL” type series are maintenance-free
batteries based on grid and fleece technology (AGM technology – Absorbing Glass
Matt). In this type of battery the electrolyte is captured in a glass fibre
matt. With the “J” and “JL” series, JOVYATLAS offers and independent range of
batteries in the most common sizes for batteries of this type. The “J” type
series has a service life of 6-9 years according to EUROBAT, while the “JL” type
series has a service life of 10-12 years according to EUROBAT. Both ranges of
the new JOVYATLAS batteries are subject to stringent quality control. As they
are produced using ultra modern production facilities, their performance
parameters demonstrate minimal variance and they are exceptionally suitable for
UPS use.
OpzV batteries
OpzV batteries are manufactured as low-maintenance, sealed single
cells, mostly in plastic containers. The positive electrode consists of
a tubular plate. Smaller capacities up to about 300Ah are also available
as 12V compact batteries. Their typical service life is greater than 15
years. The electrolyte is fixed in gel and does not need to be checked
during the service life as the batteries are maintenance-free. The
batteries are used for preference where a bridging period longer than
half an hour is required. In addition to a long service life in stand-by
parallel operation, the OPzV range also offers almost as good a cycle
life as the OPzS battery. The main areas of use are: telecommunications
systems, switching stations, UPS and special emergency supply systems,
emergency lighting systems and wind energy plants.
OGi batteries
The OGi battery is a low-maintenance, sealed lead battery with liquid
electrolytes. These batteries are manufactures either as single blocks
with several cells or as single cells. Depending on the version, they
are available in sizes ranging from 25Ah to 2400Ah. The OGi is a
stationary block battery with positive and negative grid plates. Its
service life is up to 15 years in stand-by parallel operation.
Owing to the liquid electrolyte reserves these batteries require
maintenance every three years in stand-by parallel operation. Thanks to
the reduced antimony content in the alloy, they are otherwise
low-maintenance. The specially designed round-grid plates make it
possible to reduce the battery’s internal resistances. As a result, the
OGi is able to deliver a great deal of current in a very short time.
The battery can be charged/discharged 1200 times. May be used as
stationary batteries, traction batteries, batteries for storing
regenerative energy, starter and floating batteries, UPS/special
emergency supply systems, auxiliary safety power supply systems, and
safety supply systems.
OGiV batteries
OGiV batteries belong to the EUROBAT classification for 10-12 year
maintenance-free lead batteries. This battery is the right choice for
applications of between a few minutes and a few hours.
Depending on the version, they are available in sizes ranging from 25Ah
to 900Ah. The OGiV is a sealed, stationary block battery with positive
and negative grid plates. The electrolyte is fixed in gel and does not
need to be checked during the service life as the batteries are
maintenance-free. The specially designed round-grid plates make it
possible to reduce the battery’s internal resistances.
As a result, the OGiV is able to deliver a great deal of current in a
very short time. The battery can be charged/discharged 800 times. May be
used as stationary batteries, traction batteries, batteries for storing
regenerative energy, starter and floating batteries, UPS/special
emergency supply systems, auxiliary safety power supply systems, and
safety supply systems.
GroE batteries
GroE batteries are sealed, low-maintenance lead batteries with a
service life of more than 20 years. The positive electrode consists of a
planté plate with a large plate surface. The electrolyte is in fluid
form and needs to be checked during the service life.
It can be recharged 200 times. The battery’s supreme reliability and
operational dependability are its distinguishing features. A high
voltage level during high-current discharge and generally highly
consistent electrical characteristics throughout its service life are
additional features of this battery. The GroE has been used for more
than 100 years, making it one of the most enduring and safest of all
batteries.
The main areas of use are: stand-by power supply systems in power
stations, UPS systems, power supply systems for transformer substations,
starter batteries for diesel generators, signal and telecommunications
systems and for emergency lighting systems.
OPzS batteries
OPzS batteries are manufactured as low-maintenance, sealed single
cells, mostly in plastic containers. The positive electrode consists of
a tubular plate. Smaller capacities up to about 300Ah are also available
as 12V compact batteries. Their typical service life is greater than 15
years.
The electrolyte is in fluid form and needs to be checked during the
service life at a maximum of 3 year intervals. The batteries are used
for preference where a bridging period longer than an hour is required.
In addition to a long service life in stand-by parallel operation, the
OPzS range also offers a long cycle life.
Thanks to the reduced antimony content in the alloy and the large
electrolyte reserves, the battery is low-maintenance. The main areas of
use are: telecommunications systems, switching stations, UPS and special
emergency supply systems, emergency lighting systems and wind energy
plants.
